Photography

ernst renner photography film cameraI started photographing things at age two when Santa brought me a fancy plastic camera because I was gooooood.

Like most things "Made in North-pole", it was a special model that needed no film as each "photo" went straight to my memory.

I also recall that back then, no one was shy and everyone smiled for me patiently while I adjust the (imaginary) "settings".

Photography has deep roots in our family and I still have the first camera our uncle bought. It was made by Eastman-Kodak in 1904 and is a memory of days gone by.

Theoretically, this camera "saw" World War 1 / WW 2 and, one would imagine, quite a bit of Vienna in it's glory days. How the world has changed in only 100 years ...old eastman kodak camera from 1904

Now, we carry iPhones that can take high quality pictures and even short movie clips. If time travel ever becomes reality, do I have a "hint" for Elisha Gray and George Eastman!

As soon as I have a bit of time, I'll add some pictures taken with my Panasonic LUMIX which, unlike my first plastic toy, actually manages to store what it sees :)

My favorite time to take pictures are foggy days and the pacific ocean which appears every day different.
